Hijron ki Khanqah

This 15th century, late Lodi era site is overlooked by many, yet contains beautiful and majestic tombs and a mosque specifically for the transgender community to gather and offer namaz (Islamic prayers) and feel spirituality with God. It is one of the few historic sites in India built for and by the hijra community, and remains a quiet, deeply meaningful space for those who tend it. Quick reference — Period: around 15th century. Hours: daytime, mostly closed except on Thursdays. Cost: free. Attire: fully covered clothes for both men and women.
